Our Promise to You

Every Benjamin Black piece is made to the highest standard of workmanship and design. Our trade certified manufacturing jewellers adhere to strict quality control procedures. With proper care and maintenance, your Benjamin Black jewellery will last for a lifetime and beyond. Please be aware that the quality of stones and metal selected, and the type of engraving chosen, will also determine the wearability and durability of your piece.

Ordering Process

Benjamin Black will commence your signet ring order once full payment or a deposit has been received. Our team will liaise with you to finalise any details before proceeding.
The finished piece and ownership will pass to you when the full payment has been received by Benjamin Black. For custom made jewellery, the deposit paid (if any) is non-refundable if you change your mind about proceeding with the custom made jewellery.

Artwork

Laser engraving:
Top laser engraving is included in the purchase price of your custom signet ring.
Shoulder and inside engravings are $100. This includes initials or a simple symbol only.
More complex designs such as Monograms or Family Crests will incur an additional design fee. You will be provided with artwork for approval before engraving begins.

Wax seal and hand engraving:
This type of engraving is carried out by hand and is an interpretation of the design. The finished engraving will have an organic appearance due to the nature of the work.

Oxidisation:
If selecting a 3D laser engraving, your signet ring engraving will have a darkened background, which is created by oxidising it. If your ring is resized or professionally cleaned by another jeweller, this may rub off and will need to be redone. Benjamin Black can reoxidise your piece at no charge (excluding shipping costs) or you can ask your local manufacturing jeweller to do so.

Copyright and intellectual property rights, which include the rights relating to the design and manufacture of a custom made jewellery piece, belong to Benjamin Black.
